Some habits may turn out to be symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), Yevgeny Fomin, candidate of medical sciences, psychiatrist, psychotherapist, warned in an interview with Sputnik radio.
According to him, repetitive actions and obsessive thoughts are sometimes symptoms of a mental disorder. At the same time, against the background of this, certain rituals in behavior are formed in a person.
For example, spitting over the left shoulder or not stepping on the joints of street tiles. Also, a person can repeat the usual actions several times – wash their hands or check if the door is closed.
Fomin also added that timely seeking medical help can help in this situation.
Earlier, a neurologist said that anxiety is a psychological feature of people, caused by anxiety or a premonition of something bad. At the same time, anxiety is aggravated by lack of sleep and physical activity, the use of strong tea and coffee, and an unbalanced diet.
